There’s always a bit of uncertainty when you plan a trip.  While you wish and pray everything will turn out perfectly and that it’ll be magical - the realist in you, and also the event planner in me, knows that it may not meet the expectations of our dreams.  

So when we set out to sail the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas - we kept our expectations tempered.  Neither of us had the Bahamas on the top of our list of places we wanted to visit, but we were excited for the adventure and to try something new.

Needless to say, we were blown away. It's full of places to explore, charming towns, friendly people and the color of that water will surely make you fall in love with the Bahamas.  

This trip is probably one of my all-time favorites.  Maybe it was the fact that I tempered my expectations or the fact I got to check a few items off my bucket list, maybe I was just content being at sea with the turquoise water.  One thing is for sure, there were plenty of places we didn't get to explore and I must go back to explore them.
